Seasonal Drone Pilot - 2025 Season
Drone Spray Canada is seeking a Full-Time/Seasonal Spray Drone Pilot that may lead into year-round employment for the right candidate. The duration of this position is March to October (8 months), with potential for subsequent years.
Compensation is based on a daily rate plus completed work. This position is based out of Blenheim, with a typical service area that reaches across Southern Ontario. Working hours may be irregular. You may be required to work on weekends or holidays, including overnight trips with your accommodation provided.
This position requires the pilot to work as a team or alone with safety at the utmost priority. Operation of the drones must always be done in accordance with all laws and company procedures. At times, you will need to handle toxic chemicals with PPE and safety training will be provided. You may also be required to operate a forklift, and work at heights or elevated aerial platforms, with training provided by the company.
Strong aptitude in technology and agriculture are desired skills, with exceptional customer service for our clients.
This position is regulated in accordance with Transport Canada laws and regulations. Drinking alcohol within 12 hours of being on a drone flight crew is prohibited. Transport Canada’s new policy prohibits flight crews from consuming cannabis, including CBD (cannabidiol) for at least 28 days before being on duty.
Requirements
- Transport Canada Pilot Certificate – Advanced Operations and Restricted Operator’s Certificate – Aeronautical, training can be provided.
- Pesticide Applicator’s License (Aerial) – Previous application experience preferred, training is available.
- Class G Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Physically fit and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
